Stingray Bay. Feel the Adventure.

PRESENTED BY:Citi

March 8 through Labor Day

Are stingrays slippery, rough, velvety, or smooth? Get ready for a touch of excitement and a splash of fun this summer as you discover what it’s like to touch and feed live stingrays. Visit Stingray Bay, presented by Citi®, in the Wilds of Africa and feel the adventure. It’s an experience the whole family can handle.

Stingray Bay is the largest traveling exhibit ever to visit Dallas Zoo. You’ll enter a tropically landscaped paradise where you can discover the sensation of nearly two- dozen cownose rays and southern stingrays (distant relatives of sharks and skates) as they glide beneath your fingertips in their shallow, 17,000-gallon saltwater pool. (Don’t worry, mom, the barbs are humanely clipped  - so it’s safe for the whole family!)

You can feed the rays, too (during scheduled feeding times), and Zoo staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and offer informative talks about stingray behaviors and habitats in the wild.

SpongeBob SquarePants 3-D Adventure Motion Ride

After visiting the stingrays, be sure to head next door to the SpongeBob SquarePants™ 3-D Adventure Motion Ride. The 3-D simulated motion ride will plunge you into underwater action with SpongeBob SquarePants™ and his buddy Patrick as they pursue a runaway pickle in Bikini Bottom.
